Atha Team Community Giving

The Atha Team believes in giving back to the community by supporting causes in and around Montrose Colorado. Below is a list of projects we have contributed to over the years. Our goal is to give financial assistance to organizations that enrich the lives of those in need on the Western Slope.

CASA’s mission is to help break the cycle of abuse and neglect through prevention, advocacy, and intervention. Their vision since 2000 is to create a community in the 7th Judicial District where children and youth become tomorrow’s champions of hope, purpose, and family.

COPMOBA or Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association is a nonprofit organization on the Western Slope Colorado Plateau. In a concerted effort to be a positive voice for mountain biking, COPMOBA organizes the construction of trails, community rides, and fundraisers dedicated to benefiting the community.

The Western Slope Conservation Center’s mission is to raise awareness in the community in an effort to protect and improve the lands, air, water, and wildlife of the Lower Gunnison Watershed. Since 1977, they began by halting the dumping of wastewater from coal mines into the local rivers, striving to preserve the beauty of our community.

Colorado Canyons Association is a “Friends Group” of the three national conservation areas on the Western Slope of Colorado that works in conjunction with the Bureau of Land Management in stewardship of conservation lands by increasing funding, education, and outreach efforts within the communities within the Western Slope.

Haven House began its adult-focused Transitional Housing program in 2011 after forming in 2010. In 2013, they expanded into an eight-part Child Development program and an Early Childhood Education Program to address the challenges faced by the children of families living in Haven House.

Created through a community-wide vision, HopeWest provides comprehensive, expert, and collaborative care for those facing aging, serious illness, and grief. We are a nonprofit organization serving western Colorado in Mesa, Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Rio Blanco counties.

Giving Guys of Montrose is a group of men of all ages who meet quarterly in a philanthropic effort to give back to the community. They each pitch in money with a goal of awarding $5,000 each quarter to local charitable organizations. They choose three at random each time they meet and gift checks locally.

The Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club is an organization for the youth in Montrose providing a safe place for kids to learn in a healthy environment. Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

The Aruna Project is an organization that aims to touch the lives of the victims of human trafficking. Through employment opportunities, they create empowerment and freedom with holistic care for victims in need. Providing transitional housing, community, counseling, and living wages, Aruna has a product line in which 100% of the profits benefit freed Artisans.

180 Ministries offers residential substance abuse treatment for adult men, adult women, and women with children. They strive to help people with substance abuse issues, alcohol addiction, drug abuse, and other life issues to become mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually balanced assisting individuals to become thriving members of society.
