Job Standards:

  1. Primary Objectives – What are the major objectives or outcomes to be accomplished by the person in this job?
    • The Director of Operations plays a crucial role in supporting all aspects of the team’s activities and looks for
      improvements to optimize their time, as well as the time of the Sales Agents.
    • The Director of Operations provides guidance to Sales Agents and support staff to maximize performance.
    • The Director of Operations establishes and monitors how the organization carries out daily operations. They
      work closely with management personnel to identify ways to increase sales, monitor and improve marketing,
      employee retention, improve systems and customer satisfaction.
    • The Director of Operations helps management promote business growth by maximizing company procedures
      and its relationship with their customers.
    • The Director of Operations is also responsible for training, coaching and management of back-end personnel,
      setting budgets, monitoring financial goals and maintaining company financials.
  2. Regular Work Activities – What are the most frequent and most essential work activities in this job?
    • Develop, implement, and improve operational processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency
    • Training and Oversight of day-to-day operations, including transaction coordination and client
      communications by support staff (Listing Coordinator and Transaction Coordinator)
    • Defining, implementing and revising operational policies and guidelines for the organization
    • Developing and executing new growth directives
    • Creation of job descriptions, assist in interviewing and hiring competent personnel and oversee
      employee training programs
    • Develop and implement staff evaluation parameters
    • Liaising with Listing Coordinator to ensure company-wide operational compliance
    • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets and expenses to promote profitability
    • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
    • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
    • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to drive grown and success
    • Ensure compliance with real estate regulations and company policies
    • Ensure that the company runs with integrity, legality, and conformity to established regulations
  3. Key Skills – What behavioral traits, attitudes, and skills are required?
    • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities

    • Superior knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines

    • Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM)

    • Good with technology – computers, basic troubleshooting, cloud computing, and smartphones are
      second nature. Office Suite, accounting programs, CRM Systems, online platforms, and various
      business software

    • Flexible

    • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment

    • Understanding of HR regulations and laws

    • Strong knowledge of business finances and quarterly reporting

    • Lead Agent – daily
    • Buyers Agents – daily

    • Transaction Coordinator – daily

  5. Job Requirements Experience, Training, and Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in operations, business administration or management preferred, not necessary
    • Colorado real estate license preferred but not necessary to be a candidate.
    • 1–3 years of industry and sales experience preferred
    • 1–3 years of customer service experience preferred

Narrative:

The Director of Operations oversees the daily activities of the business and insures the staff and business run efficiently and effectively. This is an individual who is optimistic and have a strong sense of urgency, but not at the expense of quality.
